A licensee may not conduct any bingo, raffle, or other game of chance unless one of its designated games managers holds a current, valid games manager certificate issued by the Secretary of State.

Game Patterns We Play
The bingo patterns we play are divided into four groups: Legend, Titan, Marching, and Band. Each bingo night we play one of the following four bingo groups:
1) All House Rules are in effect during all bingo occasions.
2) Anybody can play Bingo, but you must be 18 or older to purchase bingo packs and specials.
3) The player is responsible for ensuring that a signaled "Bingo" is acknowledged by a floor worker, the caller, or both.
4) Last ball called DOES NOT need to be part of the "Bingo."
5) If more than one player has a good "Bingo" the prize amount will be split evenly among winning card players.
6) Refunds will only be given in the event where Bingo cannot be played by all players. Amounts will be determined by number of games not played and the amount of packs purchased. Must have receipt for all refunds.
7) Winning bingo cards must be able to be physically moved during the verification process. Cards marked with coins, candy, beans, etc. cannot physically be moved, thus cannot be verified, and thus are not winners.
8) The Games Manager is the final authority in the event of a dispute.
How to Play
Bingo rules and payouts and play variations vary from place to place. Our rules, particular game patterns being played, and payouts are displayed at the front of the room.
Purchasing Bingo Card Packs
When you arrive you will want to purchase your bingo cards. Basically, players buy cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. A bingo Card contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space (blank), with which you play BINGO. The numbers are assigned at random on each card and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each by five rows (5 x 5 = 25 in total including the blank square).
You have several choices when choosing what to purchase. 6 On 6 Up, 3 On 6 Up and possibly 1 On 6 Up bingo card packs. What is a 6 On 6 Up bingo card pack? This is the most typical pack of bingo sheets players' purchase. A 6 On 6 Up bingo card pack gives you six bingo cards per sheet per game. In other words, for each bingo game played, you have 6 chances of winning.
Let the Games Begin!
Balls such as B-2 or O-68 are drawn at random. The caller will announce the ball twice. Mark your paper. Play continues until one player completes a 'Bingo' pattern. How do you know if you have a Bingo? The game patterns being played are displayed in the front of the room and on the tables. Each game will have a different winning pattern. If you have a bingo, shout "BINGO!" and wait for a floor worker to come to you.
What are the Floor Workers selling?
Before the first bingo game begins floor workers will be selling 1 On 6 Up bingo cards for two dollars. If you have purchased a 6 On or a 3 On bingo card pack you are eligible to purchase 1 On 6 Up bingo card packs.
Throughout the night floor workers may also be selling Pull Tabs. Pull Tab tickets have one or more perforated window tabs that can be opened to reveal whether the player has winning numbers or symbols. Payouts vary based on the particular Pull Tab game being played.
Ways to Win
Most of the patterns we play only have one way to win; match the pattern exactly. However three of the patterns we play have multiple ways to win, often called "Any Way." Traditional Bingo is actually an Any Way pattern. It is any 5 in a straight line; column, row, or diagonal. It has a total of 12 ways to win.
Our Pyramid pattern is the second Any Way pattern we play. It has 4 ways to win.
Rail Road Tracks is the third Any Way pattern that we play. It consists of 2 adjacent lines; vertical or horizontal. There are 8 ways to win.
Glossary of Bingo Terms
Any Way - A term used to describe a bingo "pattern." For example, if the bingo pattern was the letter T "Any Way" That means the T could be upside down or turned 90 degrees left or 90 degrees right.
Bingo - Derived from a variation of a lotto called Beano - which used beans to mark the numbers. The actual phrase "Bingo" was coined after the game was first introduced in New York.
Bingo Card - These are the primary pages/sheets you will use when playing bingo. They come in various sizes and are color coded for each game. A card containing 24 numbers and a "free space" arranged in a 5x5 square. At the top of each column is the appropriate letter, spelling out B I N G O. Each column has 15 random numbers from its number set. The sets are as follows: B is 1-15, I is 16-30, N is 31-45 G is 46-60, and O is 61-75.
Bingo Marker - Usually a "dauber." Your marker is used to cover the numbers on the bingo game card. While not every bingo hall requires that a dauber be used as the marker, most do - so check with the hall's rules if you do not plan to use a dauber.
Caller - The person who calls out the bingo numbers as they are drawn.
Dauber - An ink marker with a foam tip used to mark called numbers on bingo cards.
Free Space - The middle square of the bingo card which has no number assigned to it. You get this square free every game.
Hardway Bingo - A pattern that requires that your bingo to not include the free space.
Multiple Winners - If two or more players bingo on the same winning number, the cash prize is divided equally among them, usually with anything under a dollar rounded up. With multiple winners, it does not matter who calls Bingo first.
Ons - Is a term used to describe how many "faces" are on a bingo sheet. For example if you hear someone say "6 ON" then they mean a sheet that has 6 "faces" to it.
Pattern - The shape you need to cover on your bingo card using the numbers called out during the game. Here is a description of the patterns we play:
Traditional Bingo: 5 in a row, column, or diagonal. There are 12 ways to win.
L for Legend: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
4 Brackets: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
4 Corner Stamps: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
13: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Checker Board: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Hollow Diamond: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Large Frame: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Layer Cake: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Letter X: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Music Note: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Plus: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Pyramid: Any way. There are 4 ways to win.
Rail Road Tracks: 2 Adjacent lines, vertical or horizontal. 8 ways to win.
Small Frame: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Snowflake: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
T for Titan: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Coverall: Match pattern. Only 1 way to win.
Payout - The money paid out in winnings.
Pull-Tab - A multi-ply card with perforated tabs that break open. The game area of the card is concealed to hide the numbers or symbols on the card.
Session - A bingo "session" is simply a program of "regular" games played all together. Sessions may contain "Special" games or intermissions throughout the program, with varying game times.
Ups - The term used to describe how many sheets (pages) come in a book of games. For example if you hear someone say "6 UP" then they mean their game book has 6 different pages, usually all different colors. A term common for bingo halls buying their supplies would be something like "3 ON 6 UP," meaning that they want a book of games, 6 pages thick with 3 "faces" on each sheet.
